Looking for a new laser all in one unit for your large sized office?  The Xerox Phaser 6128MFP and Phaser 6180MFP might be two of the choices you are looking at.  Though these two look fairly similar, though, they have quite a few differences.

First, let’s look at what they have in common.  Both of these wonderful products have the ability to print, scan, copy, email and fax.  The email feature isn’t as standard as the others, so users will find that added feature fantastic.  The Phaser 6180MFP usually has the more impressive features, but when it comes to resolutions, both of these units creates resolutions of 600×600 dpi using black or color toner. Both also connect via parallel, USB, ethernet or wireless interface.  Their exteriors are rather similar with a white base and blue accents, and both work great with Windows or Mac operating systems. Fairly similar in size, the Phaser 6128MFP has dimensions of 16.7x20x23 inches, while the 6180MFP has dimensions of 18.1×22.4×28.7 inches.

Their differences, though, are usually what the determining factor when choosing a printer is.  First off, there is a significant difference in price.  The 6180MFP costs around $650, while the 6128MFP can be purchased for just around $500, making it a little more affordable.  However, monthly the 6180MFP has the capacity to create up to 60,000 documents, while the 6128MFP can only create 40,000 pages. Also, the input capacity for the 6128MFP is only 251 sheets, while the 6180 can hold much more than that.  An automatic document feeder is also offered on the 6180MFP, while the other lacks this somewhat seeked after feature.

Basically these two multifunction units are the same.  The Phaser 6180MFP is just an upgraded version of the 6128MFP with added features in functions.  Either way you decide to go, though, you will find yourself and your office very pleased.
