The Xerox Phaser 7700 is an elite printing unit most owners have come to love. It has fast speeds and prints exceptional, crisp images and text documents. However, after years of being at the top of the market, the Phaser 7700 has sadly been discontinued. Don’t worry, though, it isn’t completely gone—a newer version, the Xerox Phaser 7760 is essentially the same product. It’s just an upgraded version in which everything has increased in value.

The dimensions of these two are pretty similar; the Phaser 7760 has a size of 25.4 x 28.5 x 19.4 inches while the Phaser 7700 has a size of 25.4×19.4×26.9 inches. There is a significant difference in weight, though. The 7700 weighs 180.8 pounds. With new features, comes added weight apparently—the 7760 weighs a hefty 200.2 pounds. Both have a compact, white exterior, and from the outside, they look a lot alike.

What’s the difference though? Why did Xerox upgrade this beloved unit?

First, let’s look at the monthly duty cycle. The Phaser 7700 could turn out an impressive 100,000 pages monthly, but the 7760 beats that! It can create 150,000 documents per month. The 7700 offers a hard drive of 5 GB while the newer version offers 40 GB—that’s a significant increase.

While both offer many networking connectivity options like USB and ethernet, the Phaser 7760 offers something the 7700 doesn’t—wireless connectivity. For many, this is just enough to want to trade in the older model. Even the resolutions have increased. Before with the 7700, the maximum resolution using black or color ink was 600×1200 dpi. The Xerox 7760 offers higher resolutions of 1200×1200 dpi.

More than anything, many people just want a unit with quick speeds. If that’s the case, the 7760 will probably satisfy you more. It can print 35 pages per minute using color ink and 45 pages per minute using black. The 7700 only offers 22 pages per minute for both black and color.

Like most upgrades, there is a significant increase in quality with the newer version. Either way, though, you have a quality product.

Starting at around $399, the Xerox WorkCentre 3210 offers buyers speed, efficiency and high quality. This all in one laser printer comes with everything users will expect and more. It can print, it can copy, it can scan and it can even fax. For businesses looking for a unit with a high duty cycle, this device will definitely suffice at 50,000 pages per month. For an all in one that can handle this large of a work load, the 3210 is surprisingly small. It measures 17.5×16.2×15.6 inches, and it only weighs 32 pounds. The price tag on the WorkCentre 3210 toner is affordable, and the toners themselves are easy to find.

When printing using black Xerox 3210 toner, up to 30 pages can be created and when using color around 24 can be printed. The first page output time can be as fast as 8.5 seconds, which is quite impressive. It includes a 50-sheet document feeder and has a paper capacity of 250 sheets—although for those willing to expand, that can be upgraded to 500 sheets. Network connectivity is offered as well as connections with a USB port.

With the help of one black WorkCentre 3210 toner cartridge, resolutions of 600×600 dpi can be obtained. Even better, an enhanced image quality of 1200×1200 dpi can be achieved with this printer toner. The scan resolution can reach an enhanced dpi of 4800×4800 dpi. The black Xerox 3210 toner has the ability to last 2,000 pages before needing replaced.

Users generally really like the WorkCentre 3210. Its size, speed and high quality are among the long list of features this unit has gotten right. Another thing users tend to like is the high yield and low cost of Xerox 3210 toner. For small offices that need to get a lot done, there probably isn’t a better option than the Xerox WorkCenter 3210.

Need a laser printer for your midsized office or business? You might want to consider the Xerox Phaser 7400. It has fast speeds, great quality and impressive capacities making it a perfect fit for most. Though you can no longer buy it new directly from Xerox, new versions are available from other online retailers, and pre-owned units are available on the Xerox website. Though newer models have come around with better features, this one tends to be a favorite among users.

This laser unit needs four Xerox 7400 toner cartridges in order to print—black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Printing with fast speeds of 35 pages per minute with black Xerox 7400 toner and 40 pages per minute with color printer toner, it will definitely keep up with the workplace. It also has a first page out time of 12 seconds, which for a unit like this, is quite remarkable. These toners have high yields as well. The magenta, cyan and yellow printer toner all have yields of 9000 pages, and the black Phaser 7400 toner black has a yield of 1500 pages. High capacity versions of these tanks have a yield of 1800 pages.

The Phaser 7400 has a monthly duty cycle of up to 150,000 pages, leaving offices with no complaints. Up to 3,000 sheets of paper can be put in the input trays, and the maximum size of paper is 12×48 inches, or banner sized documents. A 1,000 sheet finisher comes standard, and it can staple, hole punch, saddle stitch or V-fold your documents. It also sends you email alerts when there is a printing issue or when your unit needs supplies. This feature as well as the low costing Xerox 7400 toner cartridges make this unit easy to use and maintain.

Though it may not be the newest model out there, it is definitely one of the most competent of all color laser printers.

Xerox is constantly coming out with new printers, and when it comes to their most popular model line, the Phaser, there is no exception.

The Xerox Phaser 7300 was once (and not too long ago) a commonly sold item. Though looking at the specs it looks like a perfectly manufactured unit, a newer, more advanced unit has recently been released—the Xerox Phaser 7500. Both were created for the same reason—to benefit medium to large sized offices with color laser printing like no other.

So what exactly did Xerox add to the newer version? And what is the difference between the two? There are actually quite a few differences when these two are compared.

Let’s start by taking a peek at monthly capacity. The 7300 can whip out 83,000 pages a month—which for most offices is more than enough. The 7500, though, can create an astounding 150,000 pages each month. If that doesn’t impress you, maybe the upgrade in connectivity will. The Xerox 7300 can connect via ethernet, USB or parallel connection, meaning it is missing only one option—wireless printing—which the improved 7500 offers!

The Phaser 7500 makes a much larger footprint with its 30.3×25.2×26.2 inch size. The Xerox 7300 has dimensions of only 18.11×26.22×24.65 inches. While the 7300 may be smaller as far as dimensions go, it weighs much more. The 7300 weighs 181 pounds, and the 7500 weighs a much-lighter 145 pounds.

The 7300 can print 30 pages per minute and 37 pages per minute using color and black Phaser 7300 toner, respectively. The 7500, on the other hand, prints 35 pages per minute for both black and color toner. Print time for the first page is 7 seconds for the 7500 and 13 seconds for the 7500.

The Xerox 7300 toner cartridges are much more affordable than the Xerox 7500 toner cartridges, and both can be found online.

Though both of these printers are high quality and both have been big sellers, there is one major difference between the two—one has been discontinued, and one hasn’t.

The Xerox WorkCentre BookMark 40 is a copier designed mainly for copying books. It is geared toward libraries and universities where books will be the main source material. It has an angle side panel that protects the spine of a book when copying, keeping the user from having to lay the book completely flat.

The unit can make copies at a speed of up to 40 pages per minute, and copy quality is sharp with a 4800×600 dpi interpolated resolution. Paper capacity is a massive 3,600 sheets so the unit will not have to be reloaded often, and it is designed to stand up to the rigors of public use.

Since the unit is designed for public locations, it makes it easy to manage toner levels and usage data. Toner levels are automatically monitored and alerts can be sent when supplies are getting low. A wide array of reports and usage data is available from within the machine to track tasks and improve efficiency.

The design of the machine is quite bulky, which is to be expected from a machine of this caliber. It has multiple paper trays that add quite a bit of height, but it also includes casters, allowing it to be easily rolled into place. Expansion options such as a vend station, which lets users pay per copy, will of course add even more size to the machine.

The WorkCentre BookMark 40 model even has an optional faxing or printing feature. For a little extra money, buyers can add the ability to send and receive faxes or print directly from the machine. Without the optional upgrade, the unit does not have any computer connection available. With the upgrade, however, it includes not only USB and ethernet ports, but supports for 802.11g and 802.11b Wi-Fi.

The WorkCentre BookMark 40 certainly isn’t for everyone, especially with its bulky size and hefty price tag. For universities and libraries, however, where copying books is a frequent task, it can be a life-saver, preserving the quality of the originals while providing sharp copies.

Shopping for a printer often means comparing multiple models to find the one that fits your specific needs the most. Here we will take a look at two models, the Xerox Phaser 6110 and the Xerox Phaser 6130 to compare the pros and cons of each model and find out what differentiates the two.

Generally speaking, the Phaser 6110 is designed more for the home or small office on a budget, it comes at a much lower cost than the Phaser 6130, but it also has slower speeds and smaller capacities.

Print speed is a major factor with any model. The 6110 can print black documents at up to 17 pages per minute and color at up to 4 pages per minute. The 6130 is more consistent between the two printing modes, at 16 pages per minute for black and 12 pages per minute for color.

Processing power is similar for both models. The 6130 has a 333 MHz processor while the 6110 has a 300 MHz processor. In this respect, they are generally evenly matched. Both models connect via USB, and both also have a network-capable model available as well.

The paper capacity of the 6110 is 150 sheets, which is well-suited to the home or small office user, while the 6130 adds a bit more at 251 sheets, which includes a single-sheet slot feed for alternate media. This is a convenient factor that could be important for some users.

Looking at the big picture, each model has its benefits. The 6110 is clearly intended for the smaller office, and it is both more compact and more affordable. For buyers who may find its features, speed and capacities limiting; however, the 6130 offers better speeds and more capacity in almost every respect. Of course, this comes at a higher price and the machine takes up a larger footprint in the office.

Xerox has a reputation for quality that has been fostered over many years of producing excellent products. When it’s time for a high-volume laser printer, you should consider the Xerox Phaser 4510. It has the large capacity and fast speeds that a busy office needs at an affordable price that will fit almost any budget. Costs are kept low with affordable Phaser 4510 toner cartridges.

There are four models of the Phaser 4510 available. The 4510B is the base model, the 4510N adds ethernet networking support, the 4510DT adds automatic duplexing and extra paper capacity, and the 4510DX adds all of the above features as well as a 40 GB hard drive and extra output capacity. These multiple models offer a lot of flexibility, as smaller offices can start with the base model and add features as they are needed, and larger offices can get all the bells and whistles and be ready for high-volume printing.

The Xerox 4510 saves time with its blazing fast 45 pages per minute printing speed. It also has a first page out time as fast as 8 seconds, meaning less waiting for print jobs to begin. With a standard input paper capacity of 700 sheets, users will also spend less time reloading paper.

The Phaser 4510 can also save an office money. First, the low cost of Xerox 4510 toner cartridges means less money spent on toners. Phaser 4510 toner cartridges also have large capacities so they won’t need to be replaced as often. Automatic duplexing, available in the 4510DT and 4510DX models, can also save on paper costs as it prints on both sides of the page.

High-volume office environments will love the Xerox 4510’s combination of fast speeds and large capacities, while benefiting from its affordable price. Smaller offices will appreciate the flexibility of multiple models, allowing them to pay only for features they need. Everyone will benefit from the low cost of Xerox 4510 toner, saving money in the long run.

As color laser printers have come down in price over the last few years, they have become a more viable choice for any office. The Xerox Phaser 6360 is a color laser printer designed for the high-volume office environment that has color printing needs. Available in multiple models, there is a good fit for almost any need, and its low price makes it an excellent value. Inexpensive Phaser 6360 toner keeps operating costs low as well.

With four models to choose from, the Xerox 6360 has the features and upgrades that a buyer needs. The 6360N is the base model with networking support. The 6360DN adds automatic duplexing, which can save on paper costs as well as offering more flexibility in printing projects. The 6360DT adds more memory and paper capacity, and the 6360DX adds the maximum paper capacity of the machine at 1,800 sheets.

Print speeds are impressively fast, at up to 42 pages per minute, and color and monochrome speeds are identical due to the fast single-pass printing engine, which allows all colors to be printed at once for better speeds. It also has a first page out time of around 9 seconds, which means users won’t have to wait for a print job to begin.

One of the main benefits of color laser printing is the low cost of printer toner when compared to other technologies, and the affordable price of Xerox 6360 toner cartridges does not disappoint. Phaser 6360 toner cartridges also have large capacities, which means longer use and less time spent replacing toners.

The machine is fairly large, but that is to be expected for a high-volume unit. It measures 20.2 inches by 17.2 inches by 22.8 inches. Upgrades, such as additional paper trays, will add extra bulk.

With some of the fastest speeds available in a color laser, the Phaser 6360 is an impressive machine. Affordable prices and expandability are two of its main attributes, and low-cost Xerox 6360 toner is easy on the budget.

The Xerox Phaser 6140 is a color laser printer designed for small or medium office environments. It has excellent print speeds at up to 19 pages per minute for color and up to 21 pages per minute black. Its built-in ethernet and large paper capacity are also impressive features. Phaser 6140 toner uses Xerox EA technology for more even coverage from the printer toner.

Modern office users are becoming increasingly concerned about the environmental impact of their business. The 6140 has them covered with intelligent sleep mode to reduce power consumption. In fact, there is a dedicated Power Save button on the front of the machine, which users can press before leaving the office to ensure the most power savings. Xerox 6140 toner cartridges have a large capacity, which also means less frequent replacements and less waste.

Comparing Phaser 6140 toner cartridges to those of competing models, they are about average in price. Xerox states that the EA technology used in their Xerox 6140 toner is superior to traditional toners in that it provides a more uniform image quality. Xerox 6140 toner cartridges leave behind less waste than most cartridges, which also affects its environmental impact.

PC Magazine reviewed the Xerox 6140 laser printer and gave it a rating of 3 out of 5. They were impressed by its many features and its low upfront price but found that a few other models from Xerox gave a lower cost per page, making them a better overall value. They did recommend the printer for a light-duty office.

Overall, the Xerox Phaser 6140 is a formidable competitor in the small office market. It offers a nice mix of features and a low price that will appeal to limited budgets. The low cost of printer ink will keep the cost of ownership down, and the fast and easy networking setup makes it easy to share among users.

The Xerox Phaser 6125 is a color laser printer designed for the small or medium office environment. It has built-in wired networking and a large paper capacity, making it a good fit for a busy office. Print speeds are slow, at up to 12 pages per minute for color and 16 pages per minute for black. Phaser 6125 toner is more expensive than that of competing models.

The Xerox 6125 (also referred to as the 6125N or 6125/N) is a typical workhorse color laser printer. Its 333 mHz processor allows it to handle a fairly large number of users in a busy office environment, though its speeds might be a bit limiting in some situations. Paper capacity is only 250 sheets, which might also be a problem for high-volume offices. There is a single-sheet bypass for alternate media types. The unit measures 15.3 inches by 15.75 inches by 17.5 inches, so it is relatively compact for its class.

Xerox 6125 toner cartridges tend to be much higher for their capacity than the competition, giving it a higher cost per page. Since toners are the main ongoing cost of any model, this is a major factor. The black Phaser 6125 toner cartridge has a capacity of 2,000 pages, while each color cartridge has a capacity of 1,000 pages.

In their review of the Xerox 6125 color laser printer, Expert Reviews praised its inexpensive upfront price and excellent print quality. They also liked its compact size and fast speeds. They found Xerox 6125 toner to be very expensive, however, and thought other models represented a better value for the buyer.

Overall, the Phaser 6125 is an excellent printer with the networking support and processing power to excel in a small office environment. Expensive printer toner and a small paper capacity degrade its value, however, making competing units a better choice for the long run.
